welcome to FLAMEWORKS
Flameworks Creative Arts Facility is one of the largest managed workspaces for artists in Devon and Cornwall. A not for profit organisation run by volunteers, Flameworks occupies a former industrial unit in Richmond Walk, Plymouth and currently houses 22 artists including ceramicists, jewellers, glassworkers, metalworkers, sculptors and painters. It has an associate membership of over 40 artists practicing within a variety of artforms.

Alan Braidford
Alan Braidford is a Plymouth based sculptor and painter. Having studied at Central School and Hornsey Art College, Alan went on to train as a teacher in Reading. In between short contracts Alan was able to spend time painting, travelling and working on film projects. As an escape from teaching Alan worked in the film business and later trained to be a stonemason working briefly in Germany.
